ABOUT THE SOAP

Sarada is dedicated to making handcrafted Old World soap- potent, pure, and elegant.

Focused on responsibly-sourced raw ingredients to nourish and heal; fragrance-free, scented only with freshly-pressed and raw aromatic plant material and essential oils, crafted with carefully sourced grass-fed tallow from local organic farms, blended with a variety of plant butters & oils.  

The European soleseife method of sea salt brine is utilized for luxe spa lather and ultra purification. Oil infusions of revitalizing herbs, roots, and ancient resins are blended with clays and exfoliants for elementally customized skin care inspired by a time long past.

The product line has now expanded to include various herbal salves and balms, salt scrubs, and various seasonal offerings.

about the maker

Soapmaking came to me as a therapy and method of transmutation, a combinatory reaction between raw elements to become something different and new from the origins, while still retaining the elemental characteristics.  

Once I began to see the positive effect that a natural product has on health, I became fascinated and impassioned with this craft.

My goal in my work is to get ever closer to each of my ingredients in cultivation and acquisition.  This process has brought me closer to herbalism, agriculture, gardening, and the Earth in general. This is a progression of many facets.

Skin absorption is a route by which nutrients or toxins can enter the skin and go into the blood circulation, and will effect the body systems and mental state.  This is my way of taking a step in the direction of conscious awareness in choosing healing elements and alleviating the toxic load we burden our bodies with. For everyone interested in making this change, it is a journey taken step by step.
